BIOGRAPHY
Jay Minga brings over a decade of experience—across bankruptcy, restructuring, complex commercial disputes in federal and state courts, domestic and international arbitrations, internal, regulatory, and transnational investigations, and experience as in-house counsel at a leading global aerospace manufacturer. His practice spans a variety of industries, technologies, and high-stakes matters. He is experienced at steering cases through every phase – from early case assessment and pleadings to dispositive motions, discovery, trial, and appeals. Jay further advises on data-innovation regulatory issues and litigation risk for emerging technologies.
Jay is also committed to pro bono practice that covers a host of human rights issues, including asylum, refugee, habeas, trafficking-victim, and data privacy matters, and First Amendment, anti-racial, religious, and sex discrimination civil rights and environmental litigation. Jay further has served on the board and as treasurer of a performing arts 501(c)(3) nonprofit as well as an ABA committee associate editor.
Before entering private practice, Jay clerked on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit for the Honorable Chief Judge Jerome A. Holmes. Before law school, Jay taught English, studied and conducted academic research on fellowships, worked as an interpreter, and sang jazz a cappella.
Jay's bankruptcy and litigation background, combined with his privacy and in-house experience, equips him to deliver strategic, results-focused counsel for clients navigating today's multifaceted legal landscape.
